Diane asks Adrienne Palmer about her children and if she will be going home for Christmas.  Adrienne says no.  "You mean you're not going home to your children," says Diane.  Sharon tells Adrienne Palmer that Victor asked her to come tonight so that Sharon could see how nice she is.  "But I've looked and can't see a hint," says Sharon.  Adrienne says her and Victor have been through a lot together and he is always welcome at her house.  "For a day, a month, forever and ever, Amen," says Sharon sarcastically.  Sharon pours her brandy over Victor Lee's head.  "Come on Victor, I'm going," says Adrienne Palmer angrily.  "Out of line Sharon.  Way out," says Victor angrily.

The following morning Victor Lee goes to the garage and on his way he see's Benny's car still parked in the workshop.  He tells Benny to move it.  Benny asks Sharon if she could talk to Victor Lee about the car but Sharon says she isn't in his good books at the moment.

Victor asks again to move the car.  Sharon tells Victor that the car is a labour of love for Benny and he doesn't treat Benny with much consideration.

Victor tells Sharon that he feels awkward with Benny and Sharon advises him to at least let Benny know he is appreciated.  Sharon goes back into the garage office and Victor calls Benny and Joe over to him.  He tells them that they can keep the car in the garage for thre weeks but no longer.  "And what are you doing this lunchtime?" asks Victor.  "Nothing.  Why?" asks Joe MacDonald.  "I'll buy you a drink.  Both of you," says Victor.

Mr Booth goes into the sitting room and tells David that he is about to lose a member of his staff.  "Who?" asks David.  "My wife," answers Mr Booth.  He tells David that he has tried everything but she won't listen to him.  "Maybe if you talked to her," suggests Bernard Booth, but David says he isn't sure.  "If she leaves me..." says Bernard.  David sits him down and gives him a drink.

Adrienne Palmer goes into reception and walks up to the desk where Sharon Metcalfe is talking to Helen Booth.  Adrienne Palmer tells Helen Booth that she left her booking open when she arrived because she didn't know how long she would be staying.  "I'm staying on," she tells Helen.  As she turns to leave Adrienne Palmer stops beside Sharon Metcalfe.  "Last night was awful but I'm going to thank you for it all the same," says Adrienne.

A party is being organised for Christmas at the motel.

Shughie McFee goes to the garage and asks Joe MacDonald and Benny if they will be coming to the party.  Joe tells Shughie that he will be going but Benny says he isn't going.  All the same Joe tells Shughie to put Benny's name down.  Victor Lee comes into the workshop and Shughie asks him if he will be coming to the Christmas party and if so, who will be bring as his guest.  Victor says he will go and gives Adrienne Palmer's name as his guest.

Adam Chance tells David Hunter that he has been checking up on Deborah Crisp's daughter.  David tells him that Meg wants to meet Wendy Crisp but Mrs Crisp was a bit reluctant.  Deborah Crisp comes into the room and Adam Chance asks her why she doesn't want to bring her daughter to the mote.  "Have you got something to hide?" he asks.  "May I use your phone Mr Hunter?" asks Deborah Crisp.  "Of course," answers David.  Deborah Crisp phones her daughter and tells her that she wants her to come to the Crossroads motel for Christmas.

David, Meg, Jill, Tish Hope and Miss Tatum arrive at the village church for Christmas day mass.  They all take their seats inside the church and David Hunter reads the lesson.

Back at the motel Helen Booth tells Doris Luke that she is leaving at the end of the week.  "You can't mean that," says Doris.

After the church service Meg, Jill, Tish and David return to the motel and sit down for Christmas dinner.  Adam Chance arrives late.  "I'm sorry I'm late," he says.  "It's the mistletoe that does it.  I had the same trouble myself," says David and everyone laughs.  "I quite enjoyed it though," adds David.

Wendy Crisp arrives at the motel.

Meg, Tish, Ted Hope, Jill and David go into the sitting room to open presents.  Meg opens her gift from David, a bottle of perfume.  "My favourite perfume.  That's terribly extravagant David," she says.  "That's how I remembered.  I went in and asked for the most expensive smell in the place," says David.  Archie Gibbs gives Meg a single red rose.  "The last of the roses," he tells her.  "Is it from your garden?" asks Meg.  "No, from yours," says Archie and everyone laughs.

*** End of Episode 3069***

Deborah Crisp and her daughter Wendy join Adam Chance and Meg in the sitting room.

Victor Lee goes to Adrienne Palmer's chalet.  Adrienne tells him that she could offer him a good job with her company.  "Then there's the children.  You know how much they love you.  Then there's me," she says.  "It's not that easy.  You see I do owe Sharon something," says Victor.

Deborah and Wendy Crisp go to their chalet and Wendy tells her mother that she noticed Adam Chance called her by her first name.  "I think he fancies you," says Wendy Crisp.  "How did I manage to bring up such a suspicious daughter," laughs Deborah Crisp.  "By being such a secretive mother.  Well I always have to ask you what you're thinking.  So come on.  Why are we here, and I want the truth," says Wendy Crisp.

*** End of Episode 3071 ***

Deborah tells Wendy that Mrs Mortimer is the widow of a very good friend of hers.  "This man, Mortimer.  He's my real father?" asks Wendy and her mother nods.  Wendy asks why she wasn't told then she could have met him.  Deborah explains that Hugh Mortimer didn't know he was her father until three years ago and then he hepled her with Wendy's upbringing.  "Are we here to make some sort of claim from Mrs Mortimer?" asks Wendy.  Wendy says she isn't going to live off someone else's money and she'll get a job in the school holidays.  "Who do you think has paid for your secretarial course?" asks Debroah Crisp.  "How dare you let me do it without me knowing!" shouts Wendy and rushes to the door.  "Wendy...Where are you going?" asks Deborah.  "To see Mrs Mortimer to tell her I don't want anymore handouts," replies Wendy and leaves.
