The following day Hilary Maddox see's Meg and David in the motel sitting room and tells them that the most amazing thing happened.  "Bob walked in halfway and explained to Sir Matthew exactly what happened," she says.  David asks what happened to Bob and Hilary says she doesn't know because Sir Matthew asked him to stay behind.

Hugh finds David alone in the sitting room and asks him if he has looked over the estimate for the disco conversion.  David says he has and it's too expensive.  "I am not interested in Anthony's opinion of my opinion on anything concerning the motel," says David.

Sandy tells Jane that the police have found the man who attacked Glenda.  Jane says Glenda is alright physically but she doesn't know what it could do to her mentally.

Glenda Brownlowe's parents, Arthur and Kath, visit her in hospital.  Kath asks Arthur if she can talk to Glenda alone for a moment so Arthur leaves the room.  Kath tells Glenda that Arthur isn't blaming her but he is blaming himself for everything that has happened.

Hugh tells Anthony about his earlier conversation with David and repeats what David said about him.  "May I remind you that you came up with this estimate idea and said it came from me," says Anthony.  "He thinks the idea comes from you.  Anyway I like a good fight," says Hugh.  "Well Daddy, as a fight manager you're sacked," says Anthony.

Hilary Maddox goes to Woodville and thanks Bob for speaking to Sir Matthew.

Anthony Mortimer has a drink in the motel bar and David comes through.  Anthony asks him to have a drink with him, and brings up the subject of the disco.  He asks whether if the estimate was lower would David re-consider.  "Excuse me.  I have motel business to sttend to," says David, egtting up to leave.  "David.  Make up your mind.  Do I treat you as a friend of the family or as you expect me to treat you, as co-owner of this place?" asks Anthony.  David walks away without saying a word.

Arthur and Kath Brownlowe book into the motel to be near Glenda.  Sandy tells them that Glenda gave Jane Smith's name as her next of kin and this deeply upsets Kath Brownlowe.

David finds Meg in the sitting room and she tells him that she thinks the disco idea is a good one and it shouldn't be forgotten about.  "Why should an outsider have any say in the motel," says David.  "He's not an outsider," says Meg.  "No, he's your stepson.  If anyone's an outsider then it's me," says David and walks out
