Shughie McFee turns up for work the next day and is sitting in the staff room when Glenda Brownlow rushes in.  "What's all this about Mr McFee stopping burglars?" shs asks.  "You should have seen him last night, bleeding all over," says Trina Jameson.

Kathryn Fisher shows Ted Hope a newspaper article advetising an antique's auction.  Ted Hope says he will take her.

Glenda Brownlow tells Shughie McFee that there is a newspaper reported on the phone and he wants to talk to Shughie.

Tish Hope comes downstairs to the shop from the flat above and tells Ted that she heard him talking.  Ted tells her that it was Kathryn Fisher telling him about an antiques auction.  Ted tells Tish that he is going to go to the auction and is taking Kathryn with him.

Shughie McFee tells Glenda and Trina that the reporter is coming to interview him.

Meg and Sandy are in the sitting room and Meg prepares to meet Rosemary Hunter again.  Sandy tells Meg that Chris has gone missing and David is very worried.  Rosemary and David come into the sitting room.  Rosemary tells Meg that they can't contact Chris.  She tells Meg that she is very sorry about Chris's part in Hugh Mortimer's kidnapping.  "You blame him," says Rosemary.  David looks at Rosemary trying to warn her to stay away from the subject.  Meg says Chris was under a lot of pressure and she doesn't hold anything against him.  "But you still blame him!" says Rosemary angrily.  "Rosemary," warns David.  "I'm sorry, but I just can't help it!" she cries and rushes out of the room.  David gets up to follow her but stops at the door.  "I'm sorry.  I really am," he tells Meg and leaves.

Later, David joins Meg and Sandy in the sitting room and apologises for Rosemary.  Trina Jameson comes into the sitting room and tells David that there was a phone call for him from Paris but his line was engaged.  "It was an English man.  He said he couldn't wait," says Trina.  "Any message?" asks David.  "No, he said he'd ring back later," says Trina.

Tish Hope tells Lloyd Munro that Ted has gone to an antique auction with his daughter Kathryn.

Meg goes to Ted and Tish Hope's antique shop and asks Tish if Ted has fixed her figurine yet, and Tish tells her he hasn't.  She tells Meg that Ted has gone to an antique auction with Kathryn Fisher.

Doris Luke tells Benny not to wait for her after he finishes work because she is going to Shughie McFee's flat to fix his curtains.

David is on reception duty talking to Adam Chance when he looks towards the Motel entrance and see's Chris Hunter standing there, unshaven.  Adam follows his gaze.  "I can guess.  The prodigal son," says Adam.  Chris walks towards the desk and shakes his fathers hand.  David tells him that he will take him to his mother.  "Mum's here.  Why?" asks Chris.  "I should tell you, your grandmother died," says David.  "When?" asks Chris.  "About ten days ago," replies David.  "And I wasn't there," says Chris sadly. 

Rosemary Hunter waits in the sitting room and David comes in.  "Has he phoned?" she asks him.  "Better than that," says David and opens the door for Chris.  "I ought to be angry with you, but I can't," says Rosemary, and hugs her son.  "Together again," she says.  Chris tells Rosemary that he is very sorry about not being at his grandmothers funeral.

Diane Parker joins Val Saunders in the staff room and says she knows she is pregnant.  "What are you going to do?" asks Diane.  "I don't know.  Jill thinks I should have it but I'm not so sure," replies Val.  Diane says it's not up to her to tell her what to do.  "Either way, it's going to be tough," says Diane.

Sandy tells Meg that David, Rosemary and Chris are in the sitting room.  "Oh, says Meg.  She says she'll go to her room and do her work there.  Sandy says Chris will be around for a while so she is going to have to face him sometime.

Adam Chance tells Jill that Diane Parker knows about Val Saunders being pregnant and was implying that he was more involved than he made out.  He tells Jill that either Val leaves, or he does. 

Shughie McFee goes back to his flat and see's the light on.  He opens the door slowly and creeps into the room.  He see's Gerry Hurst sitting on the bed.  "If it's money you're after," says Shughie.  Gerry Hurst says he just wants somewhere to stay.  He says Shughie gave the police a description of him but he could go to the police and tell them what really happened, that they both came rushing around the corner and bumped into each other.  "You wouldn't do that," says Shughie. "No you're right, I wouldn't.  Not so long as you're prepared to put me up," says Gerry Hurst.  "What?" asks Shughie.  "Let me share your lovely little flat like a mother.  So be a good little boy and put the kettle on," says Gerry.
