The first episode of Crossroads was transmitted on the 2nd November 1964, and quickly became part of the British way
of life. It never set out to be anything other than good, family entertainment, something it achieved with astounding
success.
At the height of its popularity over 15 million viewers checked into Britains most famous motel. As a
teenager in the 1970s I was one of them.
These notes were made whilst watching my favourite programme and begin in mid-1974 and end in mid-1985 when my favourite
actor, Ronald Allen, was written out of the series.
I have also included many Crossroads-related articles I have collected over the years.
I hope you enjoy them.
