Oliver Banks tells his wife Sally that it is just like Kevin to do something like this behind their back.  Sally says they are meeting this girl soon and they are going to be nice to her.

Kevin and Glenda arrive at Marion Owen's house and Glenda stands nervously waiting for Kevin to introduce her to his parents.  "Hello," says Glenda, when she is introduced to Oliver and Sally Banks.  "Let's say it properly shall we," says Sally Banks holding her arms open.  Glenda Brownlow and Sally Banks hug.

David Hunter asks Barbara about Eddie Lee and reminds Barbara that she and Becky Foster were breaking the law by helping a criminal.  Barbara tells him that Becky is sure that Eddie Lee is innocent and she is right.  Barbara tells David that Eddie Lee stayed at the Coach House.  "It's incredible," says David.  "Harbouring a criminal in my home," he says.  "Our home," Barbara reminds him.

Oliver Banks asks Glenda what she does for a living and Glenda tells him that she is a waitress.  Oliver asks her if it's a temporary job but Glenda says no, she has been working at the Crossroads motel for four years now.

David tells Barbara that she could have been in danger but Barbara says it wasn't like that.  David tells Barbara that Becky Foster wouldn't have been much help in a crisis.  Barbara looks at him.  "Well, she was here.  You wouldn't have been that irresponsible," says David.  Barbara says she will go and get the meal ready and walks towards the kitchen.  David takes her arm and tells her that he will take care of the meal.  He kisses her quickly on the forehead and goes into the kitchen.  Barbara sits down on the settee.  "Oh my God," she says.

Becky Foster finds Chris Hunter in the motel office and says he broke his promise about not telling Barbara Hunter that he knows about Eddie Lee.  She tells him that Barbara said he threatened to tell David that Barbara and Eddie were lovers.  "You mean they weren't," says Chris.  Becky tells him they weren't, it's just the way his mind works.

Adam Chance goes to Chimney's and asks Jill Harvey if Eric Collins has been here.  Jill tells him that she told Eric to leave but he just said 'See you love.'  Adam tells Jill that she could take out an injunction to stop Collins from pestering her, but Jill says if she stood up in court it would mean she would have to talk about the night she spent with Eric Collins.  Jill asks Adam what would happen if Eric Collins kept pestering her even after the injunction and Adam says he would go to prison.

At the Brownlow house Arthur and Kath get ready to go to dinner with Kevin, Glenda and Sally and Oliver Banks.

Meanwhile, at Marion Owen's home, Oliver Banks reminds Kevin about an ex-girlfriend called Beverly, and says she was asking about him.  "She'll make someone a cracking wife," says Oliver Banks.  "Dad.  You seem to have forgotten, I've already found myself one," says Kevin.

Adam Chance and Jill Harvey have dinner together at Chimney's.  The doorbell rings, and Jill goes to the door.  Eric Collin's comes in and Adam tells him that Jill is considering following the complaint against him through, or calling in the law.  Eric Collins says he would like to talk to Jill first.  Adam tells Jill that he will be upstairs and leaves Jill and Eric together.

Glenda, Arthur and Kath Brownlow arrive at the motel, and Chris Hunter greets them.  Marion Owen, kevin, Sally and Oliver Banks arrive shortly after and Kevin introduces his parents to Kath and Arthur Brownlow.

Eric Collins tells Jill that he gave up his girlfriend Angie for her, and Jill says she didn't want him to do that.  Eric tells Jill that Adam Chance is in love with her, and asks Jill if she is in love with him.  Jill tells him she doesn't know.  Eric says he is a good bloke and Jill says she knows he is, but for someone else not her.  Adam Chance comes downstairs and tells Eric Collins that he thinks he should know that he and Jill used to live together, and he will be moving back in.  "That explains it," says Eric Collins.  "You're making a mistake," Eric Collins tells Jill, and leaves.  "Is it true?" Jill asks Adam.  "Are you moving back?" she asks.  "It rather depends on you," says Adam.

The Brownlow's and Banks family go to Marion Owen's house for coffee following their meal.

Adam Chance finds Eric Collin's watch at Chimney's and tells Jill that he obviously left it on purpose so that he would have an excuse to come back.  Adam tells Jill that he will take it to the motel.

Adam Chance tells David that one of Chris's tapes with punk rock music got mixed up with the other tapes and half the guests in the restaurant spilt soup down their fronts.  He says there were some complaints.  David tells Adam to be in the office in an hour and they will discuss it.

Later, in the office David tells Adam and Jill that they seem to think Chris is just a temporary inconvenience that will go away.  David tells them that Chris will be here for a long time until he has gained enough experience to have a seat on the board.  Adam says that's absurd.  Chris Hunter joins them in the office and see's them sitting with stern expressions on their faces.  "Now the reason I have called you here today..." he jokes, but David tells him to sit down.

Marion Owen tells Oliver and Sally Banks that the Brownlow's are nice, ordinary people.  Sally tells Marion that she and Oliver have parties every month and she can't see Glenda fitting in.  Marion accuses them of being snobs and of having a preconceived idea of what Kevin's wife should be like which Glenda doesn't fit into.

Chris Hunter tells David, Adam and Jill that they should advertise the motel and try to attract more guests.  The phone rings and Adam Chance answers.  He tells Chris that it is a call for him and hands the phone to Chris.  "Oh hello, yeah.  I'm in the middle of a meeting, I can't speak right now.  Ring me back in an hour," says Chris.  David tells Adam and Jill that he thinks Chris has a good point, that they should advertise the motel more.  David suggests that they put Chris in charge of doing this, and he asks Adam if he has any objections.  Adam says no.

Adam and Jill leave the office.   David turns to Chris.  "That phone call you had just now.  Was it from Guernsey?  I don't have to guess who it was," says David.  "It was personal Dad.  Personal," says Chris.

Barbara Hunter comes into reception and Chris, who is on reception duty, tells her that she is looking very smart.  Barbara tells him that she is having dinner with David.  Chris tells her that he is representing the motel at a meeting of the Inner Wheel and he has to make a speech.  He says he doesn't know what to talk about, and asks Barbara if she would help him out with the speech.
