David joins Barbara in the sitting room, and she asks him how involved he is going to get with Sarah Alexander's business.
David says he isn't going to be involved, he is merely investing. Barbara asks him if he is angry at her because of
the time she spends on her work, and David says no.
Barbara asks David when he will be going to London to see Sarah's solicitor and David tells her that he is going on Friday,
just for the day. David asks Barbara when her next set of interviews are and Barbara says they are in the Birmingham area
so she will only be away during the say. "Good," says David.
Kath Brownlow takes some coffee to John Latchford in his chalet, and he tells her that he is sorry about all this.
He says Helen wants to know why he wants to see his daughters. John tells Kath that if he is getting married again then
he will have to change the conditions of his will. He says he wants his daughters to meet her.
John Latchford and Kath Brownlow tell Helen Walker about their plan to marry. John explains to Helen that he wants
to change his will in Kath's favour. Helen tells John that she will phone their daughters this afternoon, and John
thanks her.
Jill tells Adam that she thinks Barbara knows, and she is feeling guilty about pushing David into business with Sarah
Alexander. Adam says it isn't Barbara who should be feeling guilty, she isn't the one having the affair.
John Latchford visits Kath Brownlow at home and tells her that if his daughters don't come to see him he will go and
see them. Kath says she feels quite sorry for Helen, and suggests they invite Helen to the house where they can talk
properly.
David joins Barbara in the sitting room. "Busy?" he asks. Barbara tells him that she just can't seem to get
any work done. Barbara asks David if he has seen Sarah Alexander today and David says no. She asks him if he is
still going to London. "Just for the day," says David. "What about dinner?" he asks. "Shall we eat in the
restaurant or have something sent in here?" asks Barbara.
David suggests they go out to eat, and says it would do her good. "We went out last night," says Barbara.
"We can afford it. You're rich," says David. Barbara smiles and kisses him on the lips. "What did I do right?"
asks David. "I love you. Just never forget that, " says Barbara. "I'll book a table for 8.30.
I'm on duty until 8," says David walking towards the door. He opens the door and stops. "I'll book a table then,"
he says, and leaves. Barbara remains seated on the settee with tears rolling down her cheeks.
David goes to Sarah Alexander's chalet and she tells him that she wants to marry him.
Diane Hunter talks to Paul Ross in the motel reception and he tells her that Doctor Wilcox and a guest are having
dinner at the motel this evening. Diane asks Paul what time James Wilcox is arriving but Paul won't tell her.
Cecil Beecher asks Mavis how long her divorce will take, and Mavis says only a few weeks if it's not contested.
Sarah Alexander finds Barbara Hunter in the motel sitting room and asks her if she could borrow David for a couple of
days, because the directors are having a meeting and David has to be sworn in.
Mavis Hooper has trouble tying her apron and asks Cecil Beecher Blunt to help her. He stands behind Mavis
and reaches around her waist to help her. Suddenly there is a flash as Sid takes a photo. Mavis asks
him what he thinks he is doing and Sid says he is allowed to take a photo of his wife.
Cecil Beecher Blunt tells Mavis that they will have to tread carefully now.
David Hunter joins Barbara in the sitting room and she tells him that Sarah would like him to go to London, there is
a directors meeting and the board has to approve him. Barbara tells David that Sarah said the meeting with her solicitor
would take a couple of days. David says he can't go, he has work to do here. Barbara says if he is worried
that she minds then she doesn't. David says perhaps he should get this over with and then things can get back to normal.
Sid Hooper see's Paul Ross in the motel and tells him that he might need him to give evidence about Mavis Hooper and
Captain Beecher Blunt having dinner at the motel. Paul says he can't do that, his guests are entitled to his discretion.
Kath Brownlow and John Latchford arrive back at the Brownlow's house and get ready for Helen Walker's arrival for dinner.
Kath asks John if she can have another look at her engagement ring.
Paul Ross tells Diane about Sid Hooper wanting evidence for his divorce.
Jill Chance finds Barbara Hunter in the sitting room and asks her if she would like to come to dinner at Chimney's.
Barbara thanks her but says she would like to get an early night. Barbara sits next to Jill on the settee, and asks
Jill if it is obvious to everyone. Jill says no. Jill asks Barbara if David has said anything and Barbara says
no. Barbara tells Jill that she is frightened to say anything incase David chooses Sarah. Barbara says she still
trusts David not to risk their marriage for anything trivial.
Helen Walker, John Latchford and Kath Brownlow have dinner at the Brownlow house. Kath shows Helen Walker her engagement
ring.
Diane Hunter tells Paul Ross that she waited on James Wilcox' s table and coped very well. She says she treated
him exactly as she would any other guest.
Kath Brownlow tells Diane Hunter that Glenda really needs a part time job, but she will need someone to look after the
baby. Diane tells her that she has a friend who is a child minder, and she will phone her.
Diane goes to see Glenda at home at tells her about her friend who is a child minder. She says the motel really
need a waitress.
Sid Hooper tells Mavis that Sid Hooper tells Mavis that Cecil Beecher Blunt was drunk last night. Cecil Beecher
Blunt comes into the room and Mavis tells Sid that she and Cecil are going out to dinner.
John Latchford see's Helen Walker in the motel reception area and she tells him that she is leaving. Helen tells
John that she doesn't like the thought of going back to nothing. John tells Helen that she can't change things between
him and Kath but he would like her to stay.
Kath Brownlow tells Glenda that she feels sorry for Helen Walker, she is a lonely woman, but Glenda says she thinks Helen
Walker was trying it on.
