Crossroads heart-throb David Hunter - actor Ronnie Allen - has dismissed rumours of a real-life romance with his TV fiancee.

 

Tongues started wagging two months ago, when blonde actress Sue Lloyd, 38 - who plays Barbara Brady in the motel series - moved into Ronnie's Birmingham flat.

 

But bachelor Ronnie, 46, was only putting her up while she found a flat of her own, he explained yesterday.  "Sue was looking for somewhere to stay, and I offered my flat because there is plenty of room," he said.

 

In Crossroads, motel boss David will marry Barbara on April 9 - but out of the studio they are just "very good friends" says Ronnie.

 

Sue said:  "Ronnie offered me the use of his flat because it has a large garden for my dog.  We get on extremely well together, but there is no romance
