Dr. Paul Steiner is a scientist working on a secret project that aims to transfer matter from one place to another.
His work is being funded by an institute, but Steiner does not realise that the head of staff and a corrupt minister are planning
to steal his discovery.
With his work complete, a demonstration is arranged but this is sabotaged. Paul Steiner is determined to prove his
discovery, and that night he returns to the laboratory, intent on projecting himself into the home of the minister himself.
Ordering his secretary to work the controls, things begin to go wrong. With the procedure too far gone to abort,
Steiner is projected out of the laboratory, into a dark alley. He later emerges, horribly disfigured. He has become
a grotesque monster, with an electrifying propensity to kill.
