Background

'End of Eternity' was ready by October 2nd, 1974, with amendments being completed on 4th, 7th and 8th of October.

The episode began filming on 9th October, 1974.

For this episode only, the Main Mission set is illuminated with yellow panels, with the Command Office set undergoing a change from white panels to yellow panels which would remain this colour for the remainder of the season.

Fearing censorship problems, the scene where Baxter smashes his model biplane into Koenig's face was cut back from what was filmed.  This included a shot of the Commander with a bloody forehead bleeding all over the floor.

A futuristic electronic music score was assembled from Chappells library, with solitary tracks composed by David Snell, Cecil Leuter, Robert Farnon and Georges Teperino.

The paintings in Balor's crypt were all by Keith Wilson.
