Doris Luke tells Kath Brownlow that she was thinking about Glenda telling her that she couldn't see Katie again and she just lost track of time.  Glenda comes into the Brownlow's living room and tells Doris Luke that she doesn't want her to touch a hair of Katie's head.
 
Diane Hunter tells Paul Ross that she thinks Adam went a bit too far with Iris Scott.
 
Later Diane Hunter asks Kath Brownlow how Iris is and Kath asks why, so Diane tells her about Iris's showdown with Adam Chance.  Later that day Kath see's Iris and asks her what started all this business with Mr and Mrs Chance.  She asks why they are so against them, it's not like them.  Iris tells Kath that she has some information which they didn't want telling.  Kath asks her if she means blackmail.
 
Kath Brownlow goes to see J. Henry Pollard and he asks her how Iris Scott is.  Kath tells him that Iris won't come back to the motel, she feels humiliated.  J. Henry tells her that Iris musn't give in.  Kath tells him that Iris has done a lot of wrong, but J. Henry says Iris has apologised and shouldn't be blamed for it for the rest of her life. 
 
James Wilcox cooks a meal for Miranda Pollard at his home.  He tells her that he loves her, and they kiss.  Larry Wilcox comes in and James and Miranda part quickly.  Larry apologises and says he would have stayed out longer if he had known.  After Miranda Pollard has left Larry Wilcox tells his father that he needn't worry about being interupted because he is going to move out as soon as possible. 
 
J. Henry Pollard goes to the Brownlow's house to see Iris Scott, and asks her to tell him what happened.  He tells her that if she stays away then Adam Chance will think he has won, and tells her to report for work as usual tomorrow.
 
James Wilcox talks to Larry about his threat to move out and asks him if he has thought this through. Larry tells him that he will get a job.  James tells his son that he is throwing everything away.
 
Larry Wilcox talks to Patsy Harris about moving out and asks her to come with him.  He says they could get a flat, but Patsy isn't keen.  She says she has a job at the motel which she likes, and he might get fed up with her in a year and then what would she do.  Larry tells her that if that is the way she feels then perhaps they should stop seeing each other now.
 
Iris Scott goes to the motel and asks the receptionist for Mr Pollard's mail.
 
Patsy Harris clears away the coffee cups in the motel office.  Miranda Pollard comes into the office and hears Patsy sniffling.  She asks her if she is alright and Patsy tells her it's just an allergy.  Patsy Harris carries the tray to the door and drops it.  Miranda helps her to pick the things up and asks her what is wrong.  Patsy tells her it's Larry Wilcox, he had an argument with his father and threatened to leave hom.  She tells Miranda that Larry wants her to move in with him but says he mother would go mad if she left. 
 
Miranda Pollard goes to the Wilcox home and talks to Larry.  She says Patsy told her that he was thinking of leaving home, and asked Patsy to go with him but she doesn't want to.  Miranda tells Larry that he must talk it through with his father and come to a compromise. 
 
J. Henry Pollard telephones Adam Chance and asks him for the minutes of the last board meeting.
 
Doctor James Wilcox arrives home and asks Larry how he got on at the job centre.  Larry says there was nothing.  He says he has been thinking about what he said and admits that his father could be right.  Larry tells James that he would like to take his A levels again but not until June, and he would like to continue living at home if it's alright.  Larry tells his father that Miranda Pollard called around and they had a chat.  He asks James if it is serious between him and Miranda, and James says she didn't think so before but now he's not so sure. 
 
Adam Chance goes to J. Henry Pollard's chalet and gives him that minutes to the last board meeting.  J. Henry looks at them and says things are looking good. 
 
Later J. Henry meets Sid Hooper in the motel bar and tells him that when he moves into the Manor House he will need a chauffeur so could Sid keep an eye open for someone who may be interested.  J. Henry asks Sid how business is in the garage and Sid tells him that they have secured two of the best contracts. 
 
Doctor Wilcox visits J. Henry Pollard in his chalet to see how his leg is mending.  J. Henry says he understands Miranda is paying him a lot of attention and James Wilcox asks him if he has any objections to him seeing Miranda.  J. Henry tells him on the contrary, he thinks Miranda needs a steadying influence.
 
Barbara Hunter finds David and Adam in the office and tells them that her brother Douglas has asked her to book him a chalet for the fourth of October. 
 
Miranda Pollard goes to see James Wilcox at the doctor's surgery, and he thanks her for talking to Larry.  He says whatever it is she said it worked.  James Wilcox asks Miranda Pollard to marry him and Miranda says she didn't want anything heavy.  She says she likes him but she doesn't like to be hustled.  "It was an impulse.  So answer impulsively," says James Wilcox.  "Then no.  Sorry, but no," replies Miranda.
 
Diane Hunter joins Miranda Pollard in the motel office and says she saw Miranda and James Wilcox last night.  Miranda says James took her to dinner.  She tells Diane that James asked her to marry him but she said no.
 
Doris Luke goes to see Doctor Wilcox at the surgery and tells him that she can't sleep.  The doctor asks her if she is worried about something, and Doris says it is a bit difficult to explain but the other day when she was taking Katie Banks for a walk she found herself wandering aimlessly.  Dorsi tells the doctor that she probably just needs a tonic and Doctor Wilcox suggests that maybe she should talk to someone.  Doris says no, she will sort it out herself.
