David receives a phone call from Carmen Walters, magazine editor on Silhouette magazine.  Barbara takes the phone from David and speaks to Carmen Walters.  She asks David when his next evening off is and David tells Barbara that he doesn't have to be here.  Barbara tells Carmen Walters that she will phone her back.  Barbara tells David that the least she can do is give Carmen Walters dinner.  She says it will be good publicity for her book.  "Leave me out of it," says David and walks out of the room.

Ron Brownlow tells Iris Scott that Kevin Banks is thinking of expanding his business, and Iris says Kevin will go far.  Ron tells Iris that Glenda can't have children and she is very upset.  Iris tells Ron that she has never been close to anyone.  Ron takes her hand and says he never wants to hear her say she hasn't got anyone.  He kisses her.  "Never again," says Ron.

Barbara Hunter goes into the office and finds Adam Chance working late.  She asks him if it would be alright if she tooka couple of photocopies.  Barbara asks Adam how things are at the moment with David and Adam says he keeps them all on their toes.  He says David is right though, this business could grow.  Barbara tells Adam that she has been offered a feature for Silhouette magazine but David isn't keen on the idea.

Ron Brownlow tells Iris Scott that he is going to take her out to dinner at the motel.  Iris tells him that she doesn't want to go there, but Ron says he wants all this out in the open, he wants to show everyone that they are friends.

Barbara Hunter asks Adam Chance if Wednesday would be alright for him and Meg to come to dinner at the Coach House because it's Davids night off.  Adam tells her that Mrg is on reception duty that night but he will phone Jill and ask her if she can cover for Meg.

Mavis Hooper joins Ron Brownlow and Iris Scott in Iris's flat.  Ron asks Mavis if she has eaten and would she like to join them for a meal out.

Helli is on duty at the reception desk when Gilbert Latham comes into the motel.  He asks her if it would be possible to speak to David Hunter.  Helli tells Gilbert Latham that Mr Hunter has gone home but Mr Chance is still in the office.  Gilbert tells Helli that he doesn't really want to see Mr Chance.

Gilbert Latham goes into the motel office and tells Adam Chance that he has come about the calendar for the motel.  He says he saw Mr Hunter about it.  Adam Chance tells Gilbert Latham that David Hunter is very interested in the calendar and wrote to him telling him to go ahead.  Adam takes out the letter from the files and gives it to Gilbert Latham to read.  Gilbert Latham says the terms and fees mentioned are very generous and Adam tells him that they don't want this calendar to be just a series of boring photos.  He says they have several beautiful girls working for them and he wants them featured prominantly.

Ron Brownlow, Iris Scott and Mavis Hooper arrive at the motel, and Ron books a table for three.  Adam Chance comes into the reception and stops to have a few words with Ron Brownlow.  Glenda Banks, who is working that evening, comes into reception and stares at Ron and Iris Scott.  Adam Chance asks Ron Brownlow if he is ready to order and Ron says yes.  Adam Chance calls Glenda over and asks her to take the order.  Glenda goes to their table and gives Iris Scott an icy stare.  Iris stares back at her and gives her order.

Gilbert Latham talks to Helli in reception and she asks him if he thinks of himself as a good photographer.  Gilbert Latham tells Helli that he won a competition.  helli asks him if he would like her to model for him as she has done a bit of photographic modelling before.

Glenda Banks goes home after work in an angry mood and asks Ron why he had to bring Iris Scott to the motel.  Ron says he forgot it was her night on duty.  "Anyway you are talking about someone I love," says Ron.  Glenda says he can't mean that.  Ron tells Glenda that she feels about Iris how she feels about Kevin.  He says he is going to be seen with Iris and maybe they will bump into her.  Glenda says she isn't thinking about herself, but what are their parents going to say.  "It'll be a nice home-coming for them won't it," says Glenda.

Kevin tells Glenda that he has made an appointment to see the bank manager about a loan.  Glenda asks how much he would have to borrow and Kevin says £10,000.

David Hunter is alone at the Coach House when he receives a visit from Carmen Walters.  She apologises for being early.  David invites her in and tells her that Barbara is in Birmingham.  He offers Carmen Walters a drink.  Carmen Walters asks David if he reads his wife's books and David says yes.  "Our photographers going to love you," says Carmen Walters, looking admiringly at David.  "You and Barbara must make a lovely couple," she adds.  They hear a car pull up outside the house.  "Really you were a smashing interviewee," says Carmen Walters  "I didn't know I was being interviewd," says David.

Barbara Hunter comes into the Coach House and greets Carmen Walters.  Carmen tells Barbara that she arrived early but David has been charming company.  Carmen Walters asks David how long they were in Algiers and says she knows about Davids' son's activities.  She asks Barbara how she gets on with Chris Hunter and Barbara says very well, they are all good friends.  Carmen Walters asks David and Barbara how long they have been together.  "Two years," says David.  "No, I mean how long have you been together in all," says Carmen.  "We didn't live together before our marriage if that's what you mean," says David.

Carmen says she heard that his first wife was here for the engagement party and David says that's private and he doesn't want to discuss it.  David tells Carmen Walters that he must ask her not to use any personal information.  Carmen says this interview is supposed to be about the private life of Barbara Brady, besides he will have to get used to it.  "Being married to a celebrity is almost like being a celebrity yourself," says Carmen Walters.  David says there are legal restraints.  Carmen tells him that she isn't going to write anything libelous in her article, she has that all checked before the article is published.  She reminds David that she was invited into his house.  "And now I must ask you to leave," says David.  David goes towards the other room.  "Will you please let me know when she has gone," he says and walks out of the room.

Diane Hunter and Miranda Pollard dress in outfits for each month of the calendar.  Gilbert Latham tells them that it isn't going to be that sort of calendar.

Barbara Hunter shows Carmen Walters out and apologises to her for David's behaviour.  "I don't suppose you'll be needing the photographs," says Barbara.  Carmen says yes, she will send the phtographer around.  "I do understand.  He's very dishy," says Carmen Walters, and leaves.

Barbara Hunter sits down on the settee and David comes into the room and sits down opposite her.  "That's another fine mess I've got you into," says David.  Barbara tells him it's not important.  "The woman's a shark," says Barbara.  She asks David what he and Carmen Walters talked about before she arrived, because he looked as white as a sheet when she arrived.  David tells her that he didn't know he was being interviewed, he thought he was just keeping the woman company.  Barbara says it's her fault, she shouldn't have dragged him into her work.  Barbara tells David that there is one thing she would like him to do, pose for the photographs.  She says if they gaze at each other lovingly then Carmen will have to write a good article to go with the photos.
