David finds Kelly alone in the office.  She tells him that Rosemary is trying to make her marry him.

Sandy tells Meg that he is tired of her fussing over him.

Bill Warren arrives at the motel and Avis asks him what he is doing here.  "I came to see you, to ask if you've forgiven me," he says.

Kelly shows David a letter saying that she has to go to Brussels for six months.  "Six months.  Well I suppose I could fly out there at weekends or you could fly here," he says.  "Umm.  Steal a few minutes together.  But it's not going to happen.  I've written a polite letter turning it down," says Kelly, waving a letter in her hand.  "Are you sure?" David asks her.

Benny asks Diane if she could ask David Hunter if he could work in the motel gardens.

That evening David and Kelly listen to music in David's flat.  Kelly says she wants to stay with him but he might get fed up with her.  David jokes about it but Kelly tells him to be serious.  "I've never been more serious in my life," says David.  "That's what scares me," says Kelly.  She tells David that she has always had an ambition to write a book.

Carole Hewson gives Simon Wittaker a jumper as a 21st birthday present.

Kelly speaks to Meg and tells her that she doesn't know if she should carry on travelling or settle down with David.

Terry Neame, Simon Wittaker's flat mate, meets Tina Webb at the motel and takes a shine to her.

Kelly finds David in the office.  "David, I was thinking all night about what you said.  And I've written a letter to my boss that I'm not renewing my contract when it comes through.  I'm giving it all up," she says.  David hugs her happily.

Terry Neame tells Tina that it's Simon's 21st birthday.  "How about coming round to our flat for a few drinks to help us celebrate," he asks.  "Is it a surprise party?" asks Tina.  "Yeah, a surprise, and I think you'll like it," grins Terry.

David catches Meg alone.  "I had some good news this morning," he says.  "About Kelly?" asks Meg.  "You know," asks David.  "Well she mentioned something last night about not knowing what to do.  Whether to carry on or stay with you," says Meg.  "You can guess what the answer was," says David.  "Oh David, I'm very happy for you," says Meg, taking his hand.  "I can hardly believe it myself.  She's giving up so much," says David.

Benny's probation officer, Mr Jessell, goes to Diane's flat to talk to Benny but Diane tells him that Benny has disappeared.

Kelly tells Jill and Stan that she is settling down with David for good.  Kelly tells them they are the perfect example of a happily married couple, but Jill says they can't really compare her and Stan with Kelly and David.

Benny sneaks into the motel kitchen and takes some leftover food from a plate.  Amy Turtle catches him and calls Carney.  "Come on lad.  I'll take you home," says Carney.

David and Meg arrive back at the motel after a business meeting and find Stan, Jill and Kelly celebrating in the bar.  Meg goes to see Sandy and asks him if he would like to have a drink with them.  "Look I'm not to drink.  I've got to be a good little boy and go to bed early.  I don't want to go to any damn party with Kelly and co.," he shouts.
